The glitz, the glamour, the costumes, the dancing, and Lehigh Valley’s own celebrities come to The State Theatre this Thursday night for a special performance of Dancing with the Lehigh Valley Stars.
For the third year, this production follows the format of the popular television show, Dancing with the Stars, with the proceeds benefiting The Freddy Awards, to be held in May.
For this year’s show, we caught up with 4 of the 6 celebrities at rehersal, as they fine tuned their routines. Byron Grigsby (President of Moravian College), Michael Anthony (99.9 The Hawk), Melinda Stumpf (PPL Electric and Utilities), and Mark Erickson ( President of Northampton Community College) all worked through their dance numbers and got quite a workout. Each of these celebrities chosen all share a deep love and respect for The Freddy Awards, and all the local high schools.
The celebrities look forward to their performance. Bryon Grigsby commented, “ I want to set the attendance record this year.” For this reporter who is sworn to secrecy, it is the show to catch.
Dancing with the Lehigh Stars hits the stage this Thursday night at The State Theatre, get your tickets now and support The Freddy Awards. You won’t want to miss this!
