LATINO CAUCUS ENDORSEMENT
Basilio Bonilla for Lehigh County Commissioner 3rd District
Bethlehem, PA, March 27, 2017– Basilio Bonilla received the endorsement of the Pennsylvania Democratic Party’s Latino Caucus at an event held in Lancaster Friday evening. The Latino Caucus is dedicated to increasing the political participation of Pennsylvania’s Latino and Hispanic communities.
“Basilio would be the first Latino commissioner not only in Lehigh County, but in all of Pennsylvania.”
The endorsement was earned by Basilio for his unwavering dedication to the Latino Community and all the residents of the Lehigh Valley. Basilio Bonilla served on the Bethlehem School Board where he was an outspoken advocate for policies to uplift Latino students and all students in the district facing adversity.
Lehigh County has a 12% Latino population- the third most Latinos of any county in Pennsylvania.
It is time for the Latino population to have a representative in county government who understands the challenges they face. Basilio Bonilla, when elected as Lehigh County Commissioner, will ensure that the Latino Community and all those struggling have their voices heard. The 3rd Commissioner District is composed of East and South Side Allentown, West Bethlehem, Catasauqua, Fountain Hill and Hanover.
