Hands were clapping and feet were tapping all night long at Sands Event Center last night when Fitz and The Tantrums took the stage! The indie rock/neo soul band from LA made a stop in Bethlehem, PA on their “Come Get Your Love” Fall Tour, promoting the release of their third album in June. You may think that you don’t know this band, but you likely have heard at least one of their songs that have been featured in popular commercials such as Fiat, Sprite, and Supercuts. Their songs are also in movie trailers, video game trailers, TV shows, and sports shows. There was no shortage of dancing, singing, cheering, swaying and smiles last night! Fitz and The Tantrums knew exactly how to keep their audience engaged and entertained throughout the show. They ended the concert with a powerful encore of “HandClap,” and “6 am.” Then confetti poured from the ceiling, purple lights flashed over the crowd, and they played “The Walker.” Just like in the video for this song, their fans couldn’t help but dance to the beat and sing along! If you missed them in PA, they are playing 2 dates in NY later this week. Their tour ends in March and details can be found at http://www.fitzandthetantrums.com/tour.
Before Fits and The Tantrums took the stage Barns Courtney charged up the crowd with a sound that can be described as a fusion of rock, blues, gospel, with a side of country. Barns with his soulfully deep voice and well composed music was a perfect way to start the night.
