There was nothing but screams and excitement from their fans the moment Bush kicked off the show, opening with their hit “Everything Zen.” Despite the extreme heat and humidity, the band expressed their excitement for this performance in Bethlehem, PA, and it was apparent throughout the entire show. The band maintained their enthusiasm and the crowd was in sync with their energy. They played many of their hits like”The Chemicals Between Us,” “Swallowed,” and “Alien.” One of the highlights was when they played “Little Things” and Gavin Rossdale crawled down off the stage, making his way through the crowd, allowing fans to touch him, high five him, and sing along, while he maintained his composure and appreciation and continued singing the song. The fans went wild! Even I touched his drenched white t shirt as he walked past me! Unfortunately, Bush was not able to play their encore due to the lightning that started around 10:30. Fans were extremely upset and even Bush said that they were warmed up and wanted to keep playing. But due to safety concerns, Musikfest staff had the end the show. Despite that letdown, I would say overall fans were very pleased with the show and enjoyed hearing many of those top 10 Billboard rock hits that made Bush one of the most commercially successful rock bands in the 90’s.
Bush is touring with Chevelle and they will continue their tour into fall, ending in November in CA. They had 2 openers for this show: The Dead Deads and Black Map. For more information and tour dates: http://bushofficial.com/tour
