Amy’s Ride Run Walk was a huge success Saturday morning in Quakertown! The rain held off as approximately 100 cyclists took to the road at 7am, and 300 participants for the 5k run/walk at 8am. The event brought lots of laughs and hugs as all participants came crossing the finish line. In 2015 the event raised over $32,000 for pancreatic research. The Cygan family hopes to eclipse that donation with this 2nd annual event.
“The mission of AMY’S RIDE/RUN/WALK AGAINST PANCREATIC CANCER is to increase public awareness of the inadequate funding for pancreatic cancer research and raise money to advance research endeavors at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
Our inaugural event on May 16, 2015 raised over $32,000.00 and was donated to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital Pancreatic Cancer Research Program! Whether you participated, volunteered, donated, or sponsored this event, you were instrumental in making this a HUGE success! Together, we have given researchers and doctors an opportunity to treat and improve survival rates for pancreatic cancer patients. Together, we are giving hope to those fighting this deadly disease.”
