Learn New Skills This Spring at NCC’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship

BETHLEHEM, PA – Northampton Community College (NCC) is excited to announce new learning opportunities for craftsmanship and professional development this spring at the Fowler Family Southside Center in Bethlehem.

The first opportunity, Intro to Drafting and Design Software, is a course designed to give participants a comprehensive overview of AutoCAD, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, and Revit Architecture, with insights into their functionalities and applications. Whether you’re just a beginner or looking to expand your skill set, this workshop will serve as a foundation for further specialization in future classes. Classes will be held at the Fowler Family Southside Center on January 14 and 16 from 6pm – 8:30pm. The fee is $130. Next, whether you’re dreaming of building your own home studio, interested in learning more about the art of audio production, or want to find out more about industry-standard mixing software, you can explore audio engineering with our hands-on courses at the Fowler Family Southside Center. Starting with Building a Home Studio, participants will learn the skills necessary to design, equip, and optimize a home recording studio for high-quality audio production. This class will be held on January 30 at 6pm. NCC’s Intro to Audio Engineering will give participants a comprehensive understanding of the foundational principles and practical skills necessary for working effectively in live or studio audio production. Classes will be held February 5 to February 19 at 6pm. NCC will also offer Intro to Pro Tools, in which participants can gain hands-on experience in recording, editing, and mixing in our state-of-the-art sound booth. Lastly, unleash your creativity and uncover the secrets of storytelling using both words and pictures in a Comic Book Zine Workshop. Participants will learn the basics of creating a sequential art narrative under the guidance of award-winning writer and Editor Matt Murray, who has worked for Stan Lee, Clive Barker, The Smurfs, Conan the Barbarian, and more. All levels of writers and artists are welcome. The class will be held February 4 to February 27 on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
