Cetronia Ambulance Corps Announces Key Internal Promotions

Allentown, PA – January 7, 2025 – Cetronia Ambulance Corps is pleased to announce the promotion of two distinguished team members, recognizing their contributions and leadership within the organization.

Kim Blichar

Kim Blichar has been promoted from Director of Marketing & Public Relations to Chief Marketing and Development Officer (CMDO). In her new role, Kim will oversee the strategic direction and execution of all marketing and development initiatives, driving growth and enhancing the organization’s public presence. Kim has been instrumental in launching several successful marketing campaigns and strengthening community partnerships, significantly increasing the organization’s visibility and support.

The CMDO develops and implements marketing, sales, and revenue development strategies to meet the current and future financial needs of Cetronia Ambulance Corps. Kim executes these responsibilities with a sense of urgency, applying strong leadership vision, creativity, and focus to identify additional sustainable revenue streams. As a strategic leader, Kim evaluates and enhances existing resource development and fundraising activities, recommends enhancements to current systems, processes, and structure, and collaborates with department leaders to maximize major gifts, corporate relations, and grant revenue.

Cheryl Walbert

Cheryl Walbert has been promoted from Centralized Ambulance Transport (CAT) Center Manager to Director of Communication and Non-emergency Transportation. Cheryl will provide oversight and management of the following areas: Centralized Ambulance Transport Center; Cetronia Ambulance Corps Communications Center; Paratransit Crew Chiefs and staff; and Non-emergency scheduling of all Advanced Life Support (ALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Paratransit trips.

Cheryl’s role is pivotal in ensuring effective communication, efficient operations, and high-quality service delivery across all these areas. By clarifying responsibilities and reporting lines, the organization can function seamlessly, benefiting both staff and the community. Cheryl has demonstrated exceptional leadership in managing the CAT Center, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing service quality.

Kim Blichar biography:

Blichar started with Cetronia Ambulance Corps in 2019. Prior to Cetronia, Kim served 18 years with Discover Lehigh Valley where she was Executive Vice President for the last eight years.

Her main function was overseeing the marketing department and majority of the sales team. She played an integral role in rebranding the organization and winning numerous awards during her time there.

Kim earned an associate degree in occupational studies from the Culinary Institute of America. She is actively involved with the Western Lehigh Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Good Shepherd Rehabilitation marketing committee, and Lehigh Valley Health Network’s Board of Associates. Kim is a lifelong resident of the Lehigh Valley residing in Upper Macungie Township with her husband.

Cheryl Walbert biography:

Walbert started with Cetronia Ambulance Corps as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in 2003. She then transferred into the Communications Center in 2005 working all positions from emergency to non-emergency dispatching. In 2013 she moved to the Centralized Ambulance Transport Center.

Walbert graduated from Lehigh Carbon Technical Institute’s (LCTI) cosmetology program and the Allentown School of Cosmetology. She owned her own salon at one point, but always had a longing for the medical field. Walbert went on to fulfill her dream by becoming an EMT through the George E. Moerkirk Emergency Medicine Institute program. She also completed her pre- nursing requisites through Lehigh Carbon Community College. Cheryl began her EMS career at Emmaus Ambulance Corps and Macungie Ambulance Corps as a part-time volunteer.

Cheryl lives in Alburtis with her husband, five children, dogs, cats, and a horse. She volunteers at Glendale at Stagecoach, a local horse farm. Cheryl is also the Secretary of Executive Women’s International (EWI) – Lehigh Valley Chapter and Secretary and Treasurer for the Lehigh Valley motorcycle club the EMS Angels which raises money to send people to Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) school.
