SCHNECKSVILLE, PA (November 19, 2024) – KidsPeace has announced that Alisa R. Gutman, M.D., Ph.D., has joined the organization’s National Board of Directors.
Dr. Gutman currently serves as Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, where she previously was a psychiatry resident and forensic psychiatry fellow. Dr. Gutman is also the section chief and attending psychiatrist at the mental health clinic at the Crescenz VA Medical Center in Philadelphia.
In addition, Dr. Gutman is the founder and medical director at the Philadelphia Human Rights Clinic. She has been an invited lecturer throughout the United States on refugee mental health, and
has authored and contributed to a wide variety of publications in the psychiatry field.
She is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a member of the American Psychiatric Association (APA), Group for the Advancement of Psychiatry (GAP) and the Pennsylvania Psychiatric Society.

Dr. Gutman earned her medical degree and Ph.D. from Emory University’s School of Medicine in Atlanta, and holds a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University.
