Capital HMO, PPO Plans Earn 4.5 Stars in 2025 Medicare Quality Rating
HARRISBURG – Capital Blue Cross is expanding its Medicare Advantage offerings for 2025, adding a new PPO plan with a $43 monthly premium, while continuing to provide the strong access, affordability, flexibility, and benefits Medicare beneficiaries have come to expect from Capital.
“Capital has a wide choice of Medicare Advantage plans for 2025 designed to meet the changing needs and expectations of Medicare enrollees,” said Greg Biesecker, Chief Government Programs Officer for Capital Blue Cross. “We have options for a range of needs and budgets, including $0 premium HMO and PPO plans. And as always, we continue to go the extra mile to make it easy for our members to understand and use their benefits.”
Capital’s new Complete PPO product for 2025 is a smart solution for those looking to move from a Medicare Supplement plan to a Medicare Advantage plan. It has a $43 monthly premium with a $0 copay for many in-network services like doctor office visits, diagnostic tests, and lab services.
All of Capital’s Medicare Advantage HMO and PPO plans for 2025 have received a 4.5 Star Rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), which rates the quality of health plans on a scale from one to five stars, with five being the highest.
Capital Medicare Advantage plans offer robust market-leading benefits, including dental, vision, hearing, transportation, and a flexible over-the-counter allowance. In addition, all Medicare Advantage plans for 2025 include a new Maximum Out-of-Pocket limit of $2,000 per year for prescription drug coverage. This means Medicare Part D enrollees only pay the deductible (if applicable for their plan), copay, or coinsurance amount until reaching the $2,000 cap. After that, your plan will cover your drugs in full – and save you money.
The Medicare Annual Enrollment Period is open now through Dec. 7.
