Communities In Schools of Eastern Pennsylvania Expands Services to Delaware, Monroe Counties For The 2024-25 Academic Year

The nonprofit’s six new schools are in three new school districts and two new counties.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (August 21, 2024) Communities In Schools of Eastern Pennsylvania (CIS of Eastern PA) is thrilled to announce that it will bring its evidence-based student support services to six new schools in three new school districts and two new counties for the 2024-25 academic year. This partnership

underscores CIS of Eastern PA’s commitment to providing vital resources and support to students in need, ensuring they have the tools and opportunities necessary to thrive academically and beyond.

The six new schools collaborating with CIS of Eastern PA are:

  1. Clear Run Elementary Center (Pocono Mountain School District)
  2. Clear Run Intermediate School (Pocono Mountain School District)
  3. Pocono Mountain West Junior High School (Pocono Mountain School District)
  4. Pocono Mountain West High School (Pocono Mountain School District)
  5. Academy Park High School (Southeast Delco School District)
  6. Northwestern Lehigh High School (Northwestern Lehigh School District)

CIS of Eastern PA operates under the belief that every child deserves a chance to succeed, regardless of their background or circumstances. By placing a full-time site professional inside these schools, CIS of Eastern PA aims to provide tailored support services and resources to empower students to overcome obstacles and achieve their full potential.

CIS of Eastern PA served over 38,000 in the 2022-23 academic year, and aims to serve over 50,000 students in Eastern Pennsylvania in the next five years.
