Let’s Light Up the Sky! It’s the 4th of July!! Come out on the 4th of July at 10:00 pm and view the only public fireworks display in Carbon County!

Every year the Lehighton Downtown Initiative hosts the display of fireworks for the community. Shooting Star Fireworks will be dazzling all of us with their years of experience in the fireworks business. The fireworks will be displayed from the rear parking area of the Lehighton Outdoor Center.

Plan on coming early to get your viewing spot for the fireworks? Along Sgt. Stanley Hoffman Boulevard there will be great places to get food and drink. UnCommon Grounds Cafe, Caribbean Island Cuisine, and Jenny’s Jump Junction will be along the north end of the D&L Trail while Trailside Events will have Half Barrel Brewery and The Taco King Food Truck at their location. Most of these will be open for business on or before 5:00 pm.

If you want to explore Lehighton, Lehighton Parks and Recreation Committee will also be having a block party from noon – 10:00 pm in the Lehighton Lower Park. They will have food, music, games and more!

The best viewing area for the fireworks is along Sgt. Stanley Hoffman Boulevard. There are other great spots all around Lehighton to watch this amazing fireworks show. Please note during the show you might encounter different traffic patterns. Sergeant Stanley Hoffman Boulevard will be closed during the fireworks display. All traffic during this time frame will be detoured from Bridge Street to Third Street. Please take Third Street to Ochre Street make a right on Ochre Street to First Street.
