HARRISBURG (July 25, 2023) — The Pennsylvania Association for Justice (PAJ) met at Omni Bedford Springs last week for their annual retreat and their Board of Governors selected Elizabeth (Liz) Chiappetta, Esq. to lead the organization for the next year.
Mrs. Chiappetta is a partner at Robert Peirce & Associates P.C. in Pittsburgh, PA. She attended Boston College and Duquesne University School of Law. She is an experienced trial lawyer that specializes in nursing home abuse cases and personal injury.
The Pennsylvania Association for Justice is a bipartisan organization that advocates for a fair and effective civil justice system that works for all Pennsylvanians. Their volunteer leaders and dedicated staff provide support to plaintiff attorneys across the Commonwealth as they represent clients seeking justice from injuries or death caused by the negligence of corporations, insurers, hospitals, and other powerful special interests.
“Becoming President of PAJ and continuing our association’s mission – which has been going strong for over fifty years – is the highest of professional honors,” said Chiappetta. “Our strength is due to the participation and dedication of our members, so I will be laser-focused on all issues that help plaintiff attorneys better represent their clients by advocating for a strong civil justice system throughout the Commonwealth and before our three branches of government.”
“Liz is a natural leader that values the collective thoughts of our membership and staff,” added Lisa Benzie, Executive Director of PAJ. “Her commitment to our work over the last few years as an officer has been invaluable and I’m looking forward to working closely with her as our President over the next year.”
