October 23, 2021 | 9:00 AM
The Greater Northern Lehigh Chamber & Western Lehigh Chamber, proud partner of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce invite you to welcome Full Circle Family Fitness (FCTfit) to Schnecksville!
The Greater Northern Lehigh Chamber of Commerce (GNLCC) and Western Lehigh Chamber of Commerce (WLCC), proud partners of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber, are pleased to announce that Full Circle Family Fitness (FCTfit) will be hosting a grand opening celebration on Saturday, October 23.
The event will take place at their new location, 4140 Sandspring Road, Schnecksville, PA, and will begin at 9:00 AM. The grand opening celebration will be open to the public and will conclude with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 9:15 AM.
Full Circle Training was founded in 2010 by Obe Roundtree, a graduate of Allentown’s Dieruff High School and University of Pittsburgh, where he played football and enjoyed a semi-professional career after. He pursued a career as a physical trainer and has trained many high school, college and professional athletes over the years, as well as a passionate following of highly motivated first responders and military personnel. Obe prides himself most on developing young athletes both mentally, as well as physically, helping countless students receive scholarships to collegiate programs while strengthening their mental and physical well-being. After working at KidsPeace and seeing the crippling impact of mental illness on young people, Obe increased his attention to providing training that not only supports the physical aspects of the athlete, but supports and strengthens mental health.
In the past year, Obe partnered with Chris and Sara Lakatosh to form Full Circle Training Family Fitness (FCTfit); FCTfit combines aspects of Obe’s personal training, “but in a group setting,” offering fitness for all levels and athletic abilities. FCTfit incorporates functional training and injury prevention movements that help with strength, stability and mobility.
After training with Obe in the past, Chris Lakatosh saw first-hand how unique the workouts were and how significant the positive effects of Obe’s guidance on the people he trains; Chris introduced his wife, Sara, to Obe and saw the potential for a great partnership. Sara Atiyeh Lakatosh also grew up in Allentown; she is a graduate of William Allen High School and West Chester University, and taught in the Allentown School District for nearly a decade. Upon having their three children, Sara was an at-home CEO and experienced first-hand the benefit of physical fitness on mental health, recognizing that many women experience mental struggle while raising a family and being home with their children. Physical fitness provided a healthy outlet for Sara, allowing her to be both mentally and physically healthy for herself and her family.
Upon opening their doors in Schnecksville, FCTfit has stayed true to its roots; founded upon pillars of physical and mental fitness, the positive environment created welcomes people of all physical abilities and athletic talents and promises unique workouts every time. Because of their strong commitment to family, all are welcome and feel comfortable at FCTfit, where you are greeted by Sara’s smile and Obe’s signature “Welcome Home”.
“On behalf of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Western Lehigh and Greater Northern Lehigh Chambers, we are excited to welcome FCTfit to Schnecksville,” said Kylie Adams, AVP of Affiliated Chambers. “Not only do we have a fantastic new gym option in our region, the approach Sara and Obe have taken to create an inclusive and well-rounded fitness is sure to have a positive impact on our community. We look forward to celebrating their success with them for years to come!”
In addition to the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony, Full Circle Family Fitness (FCTfit) will also hold a bootcamp to raise money for the National Alliance of Mental Illness, Lehigh Valley (NAMI LV). October is Depression and Mental Health Screening Awareness month, and FCTfit would like to spotlight the positive effects of physical fitness on mental health. The bootcamp will begin following the Ribbon Cutting and costs $20 per person to participate; half of the proceeds raised at the event will benefit the National Alliance of Mental Illness, Lehigh Valley (NAMI LV). Interested participants should call 484-225-0331 or email saraatlak@gmail.com.
