There are some big and exciting changes in the works for local watering hole, Yergey Brewing. After 5 years at their original location at the corner of S. 5th and Railroad Streets, they have acquired the old bank building, most recently used by BB&T, on Main Street in Emmaus, which will become their new home!
Yergey Brewing is a family run business owned by Jim Yergey with his son Matt as the head brewer. They specialize in producing and serving a diverse array of artisan beers, showcasing their passion for this industry! When the liaisons of the East Penn Chamber were given a tour of the new facility Jim Yergey stated, “This larger footprint allows us to have double the fermenting tanks which will help us achieve our goal of not only serving more beer to our patrons but brewing a larger variety of beers as well.” “We are excited to be on Main Street in Emmaus and hope our new location brings in more business for the rest of the small businesses in this community.”
In addition to the craft beers they make on sight, they have partnered with other local businesses to be able to provide ciders, draft cocktails, and even wine so, there is truly something for everyone! As in their former location, food trucks are regularly scheduled to provide great food for customers.
Emmaus Main Street Manager Ashley Lorah celebrates the major move of Yergey Brewing to Main Street, “We couldn’t be more thrilled to see another dynamic, engaging, and fun business along Main Street. Jim and his team have always been tremendous to work with and supportive of local initiatives. We love his investment in the community through this building purchase and renovation and truly can’t wait to see Yergey Brewing grow and thrive!”
They are currently open for business Thursday to Sunday as they continue to add the final touches to the new space. The East Penn Chamber of Commerce and Emmaus Main Street Partners are excited to host the Ribbon Cutting of this new location on Thursday October 14, 2021 from 5:00PM to 6:00PM with the ceremony at 5:30pm. This is a free event and open to the public, all are welcome to attend and raise a glass to this small business!
