At ArtsQuest, the health and safety of everyone who supports, attends, works and volunteers at our events and programs is our top concern. As an organization, we have been monitoring closely all the developments in regard to the coronavirus and its spread.

Following the Center for Disease Control’s recommendations this weekend that organizations postpone in-person events and gatherings consisting of 50 people or more, ArtsQuest is closing the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks and the Banana Factory to the public effective noon, March 16 through at least March 31. All programming at the buildings, including cinema screenings and comedy shows at the ArtsQuest Center and classes at the Banana Factory, have been suspended at this time.

Students enrolled in any Banana Factory class or workshop do not need to contact ArtsQuest in regard to these programs as ArtsQuest will make every effort to reschedule postponed class and workshop sessions. ArtsQuest will contact students directly in regard to information on makeup dates and rescheduled classes.

“The health and well-being of our community is the main concern for us at ArtsQuest as we all grapple with the impact COVID-19 is having on our region, our state and our nation,” says ArtsQuest President & CEO Kassie Hilgert. “We all need to do what we can to help mitigate the spread of the virus.”

“As a presenting arts organization, ArtsQuest is usually all about bringing our community together through music, art and cultural celebrations; however, it’s in the best interest of everyone that we close our buildings to the public until at least March 31 and do what we can to promote social distancing and other best practices when it comes to slowing the spread of this disease. We know there will be better days ahead and we look forward to seeing everyone at our concerts and programs down the road.”

ArtsQuest previously announced that it had postponed all ArtsQuest Center Musikfest Café concerts through March 31. Patrons should hold on to their tickets for all postponed shows, and tickets will be honored at the rescheduled dates.

Three Musikfest Café concerts have already been rescheduled:

* The Amish Outlaws have been rescheduled to Thursday, July 23, 2020

* Gary Hoey has been rescheduled for Saturday, March 13, 2021

* Everlast has been rescheduled to Sunday, March 14, 2021

ArtsQuest will announce details on the other postponed shows as we confirm the new performance dates.

In addition to the ArtsQuest properties, the City of Bethlehem Redevelopment Authority’s Visitor Center at SteelStacks and Hoover Mason Trestle at SteelStacks are also closed through at least March 31.

ArtsQuest continues to follow this situation closely and will provide additional updates as needed. For the latest updates, we ask you that you please visit our website, www.artsquest.org.

We thank everyone for their understanding during these uncertain times and for your continued support of ArtsQuest. If at any time you have any questions or feedback, please reach out to us at info@artsquest.org.
