Local Celebrity Carson Kressley to be Honorary Host of the event

Allentown, Pa., February 18, 2020 – Cetronia Ambulance Corps is celebrating its 65th anniversary of saving lives in our community this year and is pleased to announce that its “Health On Wheels™” Gala will be held on April 18 at the beautifully restored Vault 634 in Allentown, Pa.

This year’s Honorary Gala Host will be local native and EMMY award-winning TV personality and design expert, Carson Kressley. Carson started his career as an independent stylist and became invaluable to major designers such as Ralph Lauren. A few years later, he took a leap into television when, in 2003, he became a breakout star as the fashion savant on Bravo’s Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, which won a primetime EMMY and gained a worldwide following for Carson which continues to this day.

With his close relationship and collaborations with Oprah Winfrey, Carson revolutionized America’s personal fashion sense of style. He’s hosted multiple TV shows including Lifetime’s How to Look Good Naked, & ABC’s True Beauty, appeared as a fashion critic & commentator on shows including The Oprah Winfrey Show & Good Morning America. Carson has competed on several reality shows including NBC’s hit show Celebrity Apprentice, Food Network’s Celebrity Cupcake Wars, ABC’s Celebrity Family Feud, and the 13th season of Dancing with the Stars where he was a fan favorite raising awareness & donations for several charities. Currently, Carson is a key judge on the TV series RuPaul’s Drag Race, which continues to win multiple EMMYs. New fan favorites include his interior design show, Get A Room with Carson & Thom, Freeform’s Wrap Battle, and his new home entertainment talk show, Couched, where he interviews A-list celebrities & elite interior designers.

“We are honored and enthusiastic to have Carson Kressley serve as our honorary host at our 65th Anniversary Gala celebration. The world of EMS often sits in the shadows and we hope that with Carson’s presence we can raise awareness about the crucial state our industry is in.  Our hope is that with this knowledge we will grow public support of our nonprofit lifesaving mission,” said Larry Wiersch, CEO of Cetronia Ambulance Corps.

The night will be extra special as the clocks turn back to the 1950s, when the organization was founded. There will be nostalgic music, delicious food and beverages for the entire evening. There will also be a live and silent auction as well as the opportunity to purchase keys to the Vault’s safe deposit boxes for a chance to win some great prizes.

Tickets to the event are $200 for a single person and $350 per couple. Tickets can be purchased at Cetronia.ticket.qtego.net.

A special thank you goes out to the current sponsors for the event; Presenting Sponsor Lehigh Valley Health Network; Vault 634 and Jaindl Enterprises.
