BETHLEHEM, PA—Reunited indie sensations Bright Eyes, along with opening act Lucy Dacus, will rock the Levitt Pavilion as part of the SteelStacks Summer Concert Series June 16, 8 p.m. Tickets for the performance, which are $42.50 in advance and $45 day of show, go on sale Feb. 20, 10 a.m., to ArtsQuest Members and Feb. 21, noon, to the public. They’re available at www.steelstacks.org and 610-332-3378.

This year is both a year of rebirth and remembrance for Bright Eyes. After nearly a decade on unofficial hiatus, the boys are back once more under their new label, Dead Oceans. According to the band, the reunion was meant as an escape from, and a confrontation of, trying times in both global and personal worlds. Bright Eyes is also celebrating “Fevers and Mirrors” 20th anniversary, as well as the 15th anniversary of both “Digital Ash in a Digital Urn” and “I’m Wide Awake It’s Morning.”

Comprised of core members Connor Oberst, Mike Mogis and Nathaniel Walcott, Bright Eyes has been pulling on fans’ heart strings for nearly 30 years. Their loyal, adoring fan base swears they create music just for them – almost as if the artists invaded the minds and hearts of the masses to create such raw and vivid lyrics. Their beautifully flowing ballads unravel impossible tangles of dissent: personal and political as well as external and internal.

The Bright Eyes concert is sponsored by Yuengling, the official beer of the SteelStacks Summer Concert Series. For more information on this concert, which takes place at Levitt Pavilion, 789 First St., Bethlehem, and all SteelStacks shows visit www.steelstacks.org.
