Michael Bonner, Keith Weinhold, James Kish, and Ronald Thomas reach term limits
Allentown, Pa., February 4, 2020 – The board of trustees for Cetronia Ambulance Corps is pleased to announce their newest appointments. A first-timer to the board is Becky Bradley. Bradley has been the Executive Director of the Lehigh Valley Planning Commission (LVPC) since August 2013.
Bradley has more than 20 years of experience in city, regional, economic development, historic preservation and transportation planning, including significant implementation experience in small town revitalization, roadway redesign and trail construction. She is leading a $2.5 billion regional transportation planning program, as well as balancing the needs of the Lehigh Valley’s rapidly growing population through the LVPC’s county planning responsibilities. The LVPC in 2019 drafted the region’s first ever bicycle and pedestrian masterplan and FutureLV: The Regional Plan, which is designed to serve as a blueprint carrying the region to 2045 and beyond.
Prior to joining the LVPC, Bradley was the Director of Planning, Codes and Development at the City of Easton, where she was instrumental in the more than $500 million revitalization of the community, including the addition of the Lehigh Valley’s first sculpture trail, the state’s first road diet and the opening of more than 60 restaurants and shops.
Bradley holds a Bachelor of Science, Historic Preservation degree from Southeast Missouri State University and a Master of City Planning degree from University of Pennsylvania.
After a one-year hiatus, Michael C. Keenan is returning to the board of directors. Keenan is president of Keenan-Nagle Advertising, Inc. located in Allentown, Pa. The full-service marketing communications agency has been in continuous service since 1954. He began with the agency in 1976. Keenan is a member of the Marketing Council of Community Action Development Corporation of Allentown and has served on the board of Community Action Committee of Lehigh Valley among other non-profit organizations. For the past 30 years, Keenan has been a guest lecturer to undergraduates in the Rauch School of Business at Lehigh University, Bethlehem. He obtained a B.A. degree in English from Mount Saint Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
“I couldn’t be more excited to have Mike rejoin our board. He was a wonderful asset with his extensive knowledge of marketing and messaging strategy while he served with us in the past. He was a driving force in our award-winning website and I look forward to what he will bring to the table as always. Becky will also be a tremendous asset to our organization. Her experience and accomplishments have been very impressive and as we look to expand our footprint and work toward regionalization of our industry, we know that she will help guide us in the right direction,” said Larry Wiersch, Chief Executive Officer at Cetronia Ambulance Corps.
Two volunteer-at-large positions were voted on and unanimously approved at the Cetronia Ambulance Corps’ annual meeting in December. Lynn Nagel of Allentown and Steve Ridgway of South Whitehall Township will both be serving three year terms which began January 1, 2020.
Nagel has been a volunteer with Cetronia since 1987 and is heavily invested in community CPR and education. Lynn volunteers a tremendous amount of hours each year dedicated solely to teaching citizens how to save a life with CPR and first aid. Nagel is retired from Lehigh Valley Health Network.
Ridgway has been with Cetronia Ambulance Corps since 1983, holding numerous positions within the organization and performing them all with the dedication and pride of a full-time employee. As a true testament to his dedication to public safety, Ridgway spent the majority of his professional career with the City of Allentown’s 9-1-1 Communications Center. Steve started as a 9-1-1 dispatcher and moved up through the ranks to the position of Scheduling Supervisor. Ridgway moved on to the Lehigh County Communications 9-1-1 Center in 2019 where he serves as the 9-1-1 QA / QI Coordinator.
“In today’s environment where volunteerism is on the decline throughout our nation, we remain proud of our volunteer roots and the commitment of volunteers like Lynn and Steve who remain truly dedicated to life saving and the field of emergency medical services,” said Wiersch.
Volunteer board members, Michael Bonner; Keith Weinhold; James Kish; and Ronald Thomas fulfilled their board terms at the end of 2019 largely as a result of term limits. “All of them will be greatly missed on our board, and on behalf of Cetronia Ambulance Corps, we wish them well and thank them publicly for their commitment to our lifesaving mission. We hope they will remain fully engaged on various committees and other activities within the Corps that are always open to volunteer participation and we welcome their expertise in growing our organization for the future,” said Wiersch.
