City staff and representatives from design firm Michael Baker International will be available to hear input on this planning project for a new city park and trail connection. The study area is in the south-central portion of the city and is bounded by Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Basin Street, and Auburn Street and examines how to connect the area to the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor.
Michael Baker International was retained in June 2018 to create a master plan for the site which includes the city’s former incinerator property.
