BETHLEHEM, PA October 2019 – This holiday season, experience “Christmas City, USA” like never before as Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites [HBMS] and ArtsQuest partner to offer the “Christmas City Combo Ticket” providing admission to Christkindlmarkt Bethlehem and Historic Bethlehem’s “Couture Trees of Historic Bethlehem” exhibit across four historic buildings. Cost for the Combo Ticket, which offers admission to all participating attractions, is $27, a nearly 20 percent savings versus purchasing all admission tickets individually. The ticket, which is on sale now, is valid at Christkindlmarkt through Dec. 22 and HBMS attractions through Jan. 12, 2020.
Now in its 27th year, Christkindlmarkt runs Nov. 22-24; Nov. 29-Dec. 1; and Dec. 5-8, 12-15 and 29-22 at PNC Plaza at SteelStacks. The festive, family-friendly event features more than 125 artisans offering aisle upon aisle of handmade works, as well as ice carving and glass blowing demonstrations, live holiday music and jolly, old St. Nicholas. Renowned German ornament designer Käthe Wohlfarht is also back this year offering more than 2,000 nutcrackers, collectibles and handmade ornaments.
Visitors can take the Christmas City Trolley between Christkindlmarkt and historic downtown Bethlehem as they shop the market and discover beautiful Christmas trees inspired by fashion in the 6th annual “Couture Trees of Historic Bethlehem” exhibition open Nov. 22-Jan. 12.
With “Couture Trees of Historic Bethlehem”, visitors see the world in a dazzling array of Christmas trees beautifully decorated by the Bethlehem Garden Club. Journey through four HBMS historic sites where more than 20 trees are displayed with decorations inspired by famous fashion designers such as Dior, Chanel, Burberry, and more with corresponding purses, clutches, and handbags from “PURSEonality: A Stylish Handbag History”. Be sure to vote for your favorite tree!
