Lehigh Valley Public Media’s™ Yoni Greenbaum Named Public Media Editorial Integrity and Leadership Fellow

Chief Content Officer Yoni Greenbaum was selected to join this prestigious group by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) and the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University.

 

Bethlehem, PA. – October 15, 2019 – The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) and the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University have selected Yoni Greenbaum to participate in the Editorial Integrity and Leadership Initiative (EILI). Greenbaum, Chief Content Officer of Lehigh Valley Public Media, home of PBS39, will join the group of 100 fellows. The curriculum of this intensive program focuses on editorial integrity, utilizing active learning strategies to reinforce public media’s commitment to balance and objectivity, accuracy, fairness and transparency, as well as its unique firewall of independence for journalists.

“It is an honor to have one of our own included in such an esteemed group,” Tim Fallon, Chief Executive Officer of Lehigh Valley Public Media said. “Greenbaum has led our content team through a tremendous time of growth. The skills and insight he will gain through this program will have a positive impact on our journalists and our community.”

Greenbaum has more than 20 years of experience in broadcast, digital and print media. He has won several awards for his multi-platform work including a national investigative Emmy award, regional Emmy awards and national and regional Edward R. Murrow awards. Prior to joining the team at Lehigh Valley Public Media, Greenbaum was the Director of Integrated Media at NBC10 Philadelphia and the Vice President, General Manager of Digital at Philadelphia Media Network.

“I am humbled to be part of such an impressive group of journalists,” Greenbaum said. “I look forward to implementing what I learn into our current and future journalistic endeavors.”

The 100 EILI fellows come from 42 states and Washington, D.C., and work at public radio and television stations of all sizes, serving rural and urban communities. The distinguished group includes current editors of journalism collaborations, producers of local and national programs, station newsroom leaders, investigative journalists and up-and-coming reporters who show great potential.
