The Northampton County Department of Community & Economic Development (DCED), in conjunction with the BEN coalition, will attend the open houses at elementary schools to share information about the County’s lead remediation program. Information on the 2020 Census will also be available.

The BEN coalition, named for Bethlehem-Easton-Northampton, identifies households with young children which can be remediated of lead-based paint. Governor Wolf gave the BEN program a 2019 Governor’s Award for Local Government Excellence this year for its efforts to reduce lead exposure in children.
