The Greater Northern Lehigh Chamber, proud partner of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, is gearing up for a memorable 2023 holiday season!

The Greater Northern Lehigh Chamber, proud partner of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, is gearing up for a memorable holiday season with their annual tree lighting ceremony in Slatington, PA.

The event will take place on Friday, December 6th, 2024, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM and is free and open to the public. Festivities will be held at Veterans Memorial Park (509 Main Street, Slatington).

The event will feature festive holiday performances from Northern Lehigh School District Choir and Band along with Rhythm and Sole Dance Studio, along with complimentary hot chocolate and popcorn for participants. The Elf on the Shelf will make an appearance, as well as Santa Claus, who will arrive at 6:30 PM to light the tree. Afterward, attendees will have the opportunity to take pictures with Santa.

“While we’ve expanded our holiday cheer into multiple communities within the Greater Northern Lehigh footprint over the years, the Slatington Tree Lighting Ceremony is our oldest holiday tradition,” said Jessica O’Donnell-Gower, Executive Vice President of Affiliated Chambers for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce. “We’re excited to celebrate the holidays with the Slatington Borough and Northern Lehigh community, ringing in the season with the support of our business community and local organizations.”

In addition to the tree lighting festivities, the event will also host a food drive benefiting the Northern Lehigh Food Bank. The food bank is seeking donations of non-perishable items, including canned goods, jelly, cereal, spam, and soup. “The holidays are a time for giving, and we’re proud to be part of a community that supports those in need,” said Elyse Cuttic, Manager of Affiliated Chambers for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce. “We hope this food drive brings some holiday cheer to local families.”
