Emmaus, PA – The Emmaus Main Street Partners are delighted to announce the return of the highly anticipated Annual Old-Fashioned Christmas Celebration on Saturday, December 7th, 2024. This beloved event promises to capture the true spirit of the season, inviting the community to gather for a full day of holiday cheer, local shopping, and family friendly activities.

Candy Cane Lane Brings Festive Fun to Emmaus

At the beginning of the day, Emmaus will kick off the holiday festivities with Candy Cane Lane from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Families are invited to pick up a free passport and explore participating local businesses throughout Emmaus.

Children can enjoy holiday crafts at each stop, with featured locations including the Emmaus Historical Society, Hank’s Italian Ice, Lehigh Valley Martial Arts, Art Beat Café, and Knauss Homestead. Local businesses are encouraged to participate and help bring the spirit of the holidays to Emmaus by boosting foot traffic and sharing in this community celebration.

For business participation, contact Hayden at HaydenR@lehighvalleychamber.org or call 484-828-9777.

Passports for this event are available at each participating store or can be downloaded from our website here.

Emmaus Cheers Trail

Alongside the festive Candy Cane Lane, don’t miss the Emmaus Cheers Trail, happening from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM! This exciting event invites you to explore Emmaus shops and restaurants while enjoying adult beverages and light bites at each stop. This year, we’re offering two trails: the Green Trail, featuring stops like Capo & Co., House Splendid, Buss Paints, Beyond Fitness Nutrition, Korpics Upholstery, and Yergey Brewing, and the Red Trail, which includes Cottage & Bloom, Funk Brewing, Soul Sisters, Grandpa Joe’s, the Emmaus Historical Society, and more!

Tickets for each trail are $30 through September 24th and will increase to $40 afterward, so don’t wait to secure your spot! You must be 21 years or older to participate. It’s the perfect way to shop, sip, and support local businesses this holiday season. Which trail will you choose?

Old-Fashioned Christmas at Triangle Park

The festivities will continue at the Emmaus Triangle Park from 4:00PM to 7:00PM, where the town will transform into a winter wonderland. Families can enjoy a showing of The Polar Express at the Emmaus Theatre from 3:00PM to 4:30PM, with a second screening at 7:00 PM sponsored by Edward Jones. At 5:00 PM, Santa Claus will make a grand entrance, ready to greet children and take free photos, thanks to E.F. Butz Insurance Agency, Service Electric Cable TV & Communications, and Wehrung’s, in partnership with Wesley Works. Adding to the holiday magic, Santa’s reindeer will be joining him, courtesy of B&B Custom Pools, First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union, and Embassy Bank.

Thanks to McDonald’s of Emmaus and Burkholder’s HVAC, festive vocals will fill the air with live holiday music from 4:00PM to 6:00PM, creating a cheerful atmosphere as families enjoy the nonprofit sponsored activities throughout the park and enlightened hayrides.

The celebration will commence with the grand finale: a Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6:30PM! This highly anticipated moment was made possible by New Tripoli Bank, Mid-Atlantic Technology Professionals, St. Ann School, U-Haul, and AFC Urgent Care, and will bring the community together to officially kick off the holiday season in Emmaus.

“Each year, the Old-Fashioned Christmas celebration brings our community together to embrace the warmth and joy of the season,” shared Jessica O’Donnell-Gower, Executive Vice President of the Affiliated Chambers, Easton & Phillipsburg Area Initiatives, and Northern Tier. “With festive activities, local shopping, and joyful entertainment, we are thrilled to offer families and friends a chance to create unforgettable memories. We’re excited to host this special celebration once again and share it with our beloved community we hold so dear to our hearts!”
