Christmas City store also debuts new limited-edition light up art for sale
Bethlehem, PA (October 31, 2024) – Local artist Mary Jane Lahr painted a gleaming Bethlehem star over a snow-kissed Historic Hotel Bethlehem in this year’s collectible peppermint bark tins sold exclusively at The Shoppe at Historic Hotel Bethlehem. “Mary Jane Lahr did a beautiful job capturing the warm essence of the Christmas City. From the big bright star to the tiny details on the wreaths in the hotel windows, you feel the magic when you look at it,” said Historic Hotel Bethlehem Managing Partner Bruce Haines.
Each tin is packed with ten bars of peppermint bark from Lehigh Valley company, Bazzini. “I look forward to these every year,” said JoAnn Haines, the Shoppe’s Director of Merchandising. “When you taste the rich chocolate with those peppermint bits, you know Christmas time has arrived. It’s no surprise that they sell out every year.”
A decade-long Christmas City tradition
This is the tenth year the hotel has produced the tins and every year they sell out. In 2104, Lahr’s artwork was a popular item in the Shoppe. JoAnn came up with the idea to make prints in a unique way – on a collectible tin filled with Bazzini confections. She said, “This is truly a locally created gift and that’s something people are looking for today.” Tins costs $24 each and are available exclusively in the Shoppe at Historic Hotel Bethlehem.
Tin Signing Details
Guests are invited to a tin signing on Saturday November 2 from 10am -1pm just outside of the shop at 437 Main Street in Bethlehem. Mary Jane Lahr, Bruce Haines, and Carrie Madigan of Bazzini will sign the collectible tins. “This is always a popular event as the signatures add an extra special touch for collectors and gift recipients. It shows that you’ve put a lot of thought into gifting something special,” said Kelly Ronalds, the hotel’s Director of Room Sales and Guest Experience.
New Art Released this year
The Shoppe at Historic Hotel Bethlehem is also debuting new art pieces this year. Limited edition canvases featuring Bethlehem winter scenes include light up elements. “They’re so much fun,” said JoAnn. “We work really hard to source unique pieces for the Shoppe that you can’t buy anywhere else.”
