It was a perfect fall day at Goodman Stadium Saturday, The sun peeked through as it hid behind the clouds at some point, the temperature was in the low 60’s as the Lehigh University Mountain Hawks took on the Fordham Rams.
The Rams tried to make their intentions clear by scoring a field goal with a little over six minutes left in the first quarter, but the Mountain Hawks retaliated by scoring a touch down and an extra point, four minutes later.
By the second quarter, the Mountain Hawks defense ran tight as they held The Rams back from scoring while they added a total of 24 points to their score. Lehigh created a huge lead, 31-3 over The Rams by halftime.
The third quarter came close with both offenses scoreless, but the Mountain Hawks picked up a safety. While a win looked bleak for The Rams by the fourth quarter, they used every ounce of energy to add two more touchdowns to the scoreboard bringing the final score to 33-19, an easy win for the Mountain Hawks.
