Emmaus, Pennsylvania – October 17, 2024  In a heartwarming act of community support, Comfort Generation, a trusted provider of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) services, along with Lennox, through their Feel the Love program, have proudly donated a brand-new HVAC system to a local foster family, nominated by The Kindness Project.

Celebrating 15 years of giving back to deserving homeowners, the annual Lennox Feel The Love program continued its partnership with residential dealers across the U.S. and Canada to donate and install heating and cooling (HVAC) units for community heroes.

“The Feel The Love program provides participating Lennox dealers and local community members an opportunity to come together to support those in need of heating and cooling equipment,” said Gary Bedard, EVP & President, Lennox Home Comfort Solutions. “The impact of this program and the number of lives changed is truly inspiring, and we look forward to ensuring even more of our communities Feel The Love this year.”

Comfort Generation served as the local residential dealer who took the baton to complete the entire donation process by providing the complementary parts and supplies as well as manpower needed for the complete installation. Jen Burkhardt, Director of Business Development at Comfort Generation shares,

“We are so excited and proud to support local community heroes by giving the Bankas Family a new HVAC system. They are a wonderful and truly deserving foster family, and it is our absolute pleasure to help make their home a more comfortable place for them to enjoy. We, at Comfort Generation, are so thankful for Jenae at The Kindness Project for her superb nomination of this family. We have had an amazing time getting to learn about all the support that

TKP provides area foster families, and we are looking forward to working more closely together in the future. Also, a HUGE thank you to Lennox and the Lii Lennox Foundation for their generous donation of the new equipment.”

The donation, valued at almost $12,000, was installed for the Bankas family on Thursday October 10, 2024. The family, who has been fostering children for around four years and are now in the process of adopting a daughter, expressed their gratitude for the timely assistance,

“We are honored and humbled to have been selected to receive this amazing gift! We want to thank the Kindness Project for the nomination. Since we became foster parents, they have provided so much support to us, as they continue to do for so many children in foster care and their families. We are incredibly grateful to Lennox for this program and for providing the equipment to make this a reality. And we want to send a huge thanks to Comfort Generation for selecting us and for their selfless donation of their time and labor. Words cannot express how much this means to us. We are absolutely in shock and so very grateful to be the recipients of such a huge blessing that relieves this burden on our family!”

Jenae Holtzhafer, Founder and Executive Director of The Kindness Project, began the 501(c)3 nonprofit to provide free support for foster families that goes beyond supplying children and teens with new clothing, hygiene items, and other immediate needs but also cultivates a larger level of assistance within the foster care community.

“We are thrilled for the Bankas family and hope this new system brings them comfort and peace of mind. Our vision is to continue to collaborate with as many community partners as possible so we can wrap around foster families who are doing the hardest work to help kids in need.”
