State Theatre Center For The Arts Presents:

The Vampire Circus

Easton, Pennsylvania… How is everyone doing? What a beautiful, magical evening to be in the presence of Vampires. We also had a rare occasion of the Aurora borealis, and of course the moon made an appearance as the full moon is coming soon. What a beautiful evening to celebrate Vampires as spooky season flows through. The State Theatre in Easton is iconic. The architecture and lighting make you feel as if you stepped back in time.

The staff, volunteers, the Easton Police Department all did an amazing job making sure everyone was safe and knew where to go. I wound up there a little while after work. I waited for my awesome friend Colleen (Colleen’s sons are junior Volunteer Firefighters for the Whitehall Fire Department. They do a lot of good, and they are also part of the Whitehall Haunted Parkway. Go visit the Haunt. It’s beyond awesome, and helps the fire department.)

I headed inside to talk with the nice people at the box office, and then went back outside. I did a lot of talking. People came from all over, and from all walks of life. It was a fall evening. Mother Nature said, I shall provide a breeze. I met lots of people outside and we discussed Vampires and all things spooky.

From Spooky jackets to spooky hats. The gentleman with the custom Art the Clown snapback hat.

I made my way into the State Theatre after taking in the last of the evening and looking at the moon once again. I checked out all The Vampire Circus merchandise.  They have hoodies, t-shirts, and more. The Vampire Circus is a family affair.

It’s a family business that has spanned eight generations, and originated from Spain. It’s a 90-minute production, and full of excitement and the right amount of darkness. The stage set-up was incredible.  A nice macabre background for the performers to showcase all of their skills.

The audience interactions were great. The performers do everything from juggling, contortionist, acrobats, and the awesome Clown who has fun with all of this madness. It’s “set in Bohemia during the 19th-century, Count Dracula contemplates a plan for world domination, when he decides to open a traveling circus with his gypsy bodyguards. The Vampire Circus is a perfect cover-up to travel unnoticed and begin his world reign of terror and turn all humans into an army of Vampires for global dominance.” From the program provided by The State Theatre, and The Vampire Circus.

The amount of talent everyone has is mind blowing. The intensity is wild. The gentleman with Jason Momoa (I mean that in such a good way. He had the awesome hair, the coolness about him.) vibes who was juggling, and just so fast all over the stage. The woman with INSANE hula hoop and contortionist skills. She resembled a human slinky for a moment.

It was a variety of macabre, and THERE IS NOTHING I LOVE MORE than all of the Horrors along with Halloween all year long. It felt like a celebration of darkness with a fun twist. I would have gone back again if they were in Easton for two or three days straight, but I suppose Vampires have traveling to do so I shall bid them farewell for now, and hope to see The Vampire Circus again soon.

Happy Halloween my fellow Horror Hooligans.
