Carbon County, PA – The Carbon County Chamber & Economic Development Corporation, proud partner of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, is excited to announce the upcoming State of the County address, scheduled for October 3, 2024, at Blue Mountain Resort. This annual event serves as a platform for county leaders to reflect on accomplishments, outline future initiatives, and engage with community members.

“This annual event offers an exclusive and encompassing look at the state of Carbon County,” said Kylie Adams-Weiss, SVP of the Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation. “We’re thrilled to bring together an amazing lineup of community leaders, each sharing their unique insights about what’s in store for Carbon in the coming year. The CCEDC is dedicated to not only uplifting our business community but also ensuring everyone has access to the latest and greatest information from these influential voices.”

This year’s address will feature five speakers who will highlight key developments in the county over the past year and discuss ongoing projects that are set to enhance the quality of life for all residents. Presentations will include a Chamber of Commerce Update from Patrick Reilly, President & CEO of Mauch Chunk Trust and Chair of the Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation; Carbon County Commissioners’ Report, presented by Carbon County Commissioner Michael Sofranko; a Tourism Report from Chris Barrett, President & CEO of Pocono Mountain Visitors Bureau; an Economic Development Update from Brenda Sacco, Director of Economic Development at the Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation; and a Transportation and Infrastructure Report from Scott Vottero, Assistant District Director of Design for PennDOT.

Attendees can expect insights into economic growth, infrastructure improvements, and community engagement efforts that have shaped Carbon County’s progress.
