Inspire Positive Change and Help Make a Difference for Local Foster Families
Bethlehem, PA, – The Junior League of the Lehigh Valley (JLLVPA), a leading women’s organization dedicated to making a positive impact in our communities, is thrilled to celebrate “Find the Good Day” on September 19, 2024. This special day of unity and compassion aims to spread kindness, uplift others, and inspire positive change across the Lehigh Valley. “Find the Good Day” is an opportunity for individuals, families, and organizations to come together as changemakers and create a ripple effect of positivity throughout our community.
The JLLVPA is celebrating Find the Good Day by partnering with The Kindness Project, a local non-profit that provides free support to foster families across eastern Pennsylvania by offering essential items for the children and tweens in their care. The JLLVPA is providing over 250 Back to School Bedtime Bundles to foster families, which will be packed with nighttime comforts for children. The Find the Good Team will be passing out the Bedtime Bundles to foster families at The Kindness Project’s 2nd Annual Family & Volunteer picnic on September 6. This special event, hosted by The Kindness Project, is a special night of connection and creating positive core memories.
“As we approach ‘Find the Good Day,’ we are reminded of the profound impact we can have when we unite with hope and optimism,” said League President Michelle Resto-Carlson. “We’re proud to team up with The Kindness Project for Find the Good Day to support our local foster families. Our goal is to help foster children feel comfortable and secure in their new homes, fostering a sense of stability and warmth as they settle in – because every child deserves to drift off to sleep feeling safe, cared for, and a little more at ease in a new place.”
