LEHIGH VALLEY, PA – The Chamber’s Veterans & Military Council is proud to present the inaugural Veterans Leadership Summit on Wednesday, June 12th, 2024 from 7:30 AM – 12 Noon at University Center at DeSales University (2755 Station Avenue, Center Valley, PA).

Join us for a half day focused on veterans in business, veteran entrepreneurs, student veterans, and HR leadership, recruiters, or any business leader/owner looking to hire veteran talent in their workplace. The summit’s goal is to foster innovation and collaboration amongst the military veteran business community to further empower veterans in business.

Agenda:

7:30 AM – Breakfast/Registration/Networking

8 AM – Welcome Remarks

8:15 AM – Opening Keynote

  • Brigadier General Maureen Weigl, PA Department of Military and Veterans Affairs

9:00 AM – How to successfully hire and retain a veteran workforce

  • Crystal Houser (U.S. Army) -Director of Bureau of Workforce Partnership & Operations at the PA Department of Labor & Industry
  • Robert Opp (U.S. Army) – Veteran Recruitment at TD Bank
  • Mihai S. Sofronie (U.S. Army) – Veteran Employee Resource Group (ERG) Lead and Global Category Director, Professional Services at Olympus Corporation

10:00 AM – The entrepreneurial spirit of a military veteran

  • Jeffrey Hanks (U.S. Army) – Military Personnel Division Chief, TAP Transition Assistance Program Coordinator, U.S. Army War College
  • Daniel “PJ” Kohli (U.S. Marine Corps) – Founder of veteran-owned Prize, and Bunker Labs graduate
  • Andrea Grannum-Mosley (U.S. Army) – Dean of Workforce, Community Engagement & Technical Education at Lehigh Carbon Community College
