Carbon County, PA – May 6, 2024- Carbon County Women in Business and the Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC) will host a “Safety in the Workplace” Luncheon and Seminar on Thursday, May 9, 2024 from 11:30am-1:00pm at the CCEDC office at 137 South Street in Lehighton.
This important personal safety seminar will be conducted by Detective Matthew Arner of the Lehighton Police Department and will teach you how to protect yourself in any situation inside or outside of the workplace. Enjoy a delicious lunch catered by the Carbon Career & Technical Institute’s Culinary Arts Program while you learn valuable safety and self-defense tips that can keep you out of harm’s way and potentially save your life.
Kathy Henderson, CCEDC’s Executive Director, shares, “It is a different world today, and knowing how to protect yourself and remain safe at your workplace, home or anywhere you may go is a reassuring and empowering thing to do. We are so thankful to Detective Arner for coming out to share his best safety practices with us. His expertise in this area will not only be beneficial to you but also others.”
