BETHLEHEM, PA – Northampton Community College’s (NCC) six-week Dental Assisting Program is a great opportunity for those exploring a new career opportunity. The program teaches participants the skills required to become a valuable member of a dental health team and apply both their interpersonal and technical abilities. Program instruction includes preparation of instruments, materials and equipment; assessment and education of clients; and preparing patients for their appointments. Students will also participate in a clinical externship arranged by the college to gain valuable hands-on experience prior to entering the workforce.

Additionally, for those already in the field and looking to enhance their skills, NCC is offering an “Improving Radiographic Techniques for the Dental Team” course on April 4, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the Fowler Family Southside Center.
