LEHIGH VALLEY, PA – November 1, 2023 – Next weekend the five member wineries of the Lehigh Valley Wine Trail will host their fifth annual Giving Before Thanks food drive event.
On Saturday, November 11 and Sunday, November 12 guests are invited to donate a non- perishable food item at each LVWT member winery. In exchange for the donation, the wineries will provide patrons with a complimentary wine sample. A food donation must be made at each winery on the trail to receive that winery’s complimentary wine sample.
Wineries will also have special activities going on. See below for details. Event hours at all of the wineries are Saturday from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon – 5 p.m. The event is also an opportunity to pick up wines for upcoming holiday meals and to give as gifts.
The food will be donated to the food pantry at New Bethany in Bethlehem and the Portland/Upper Mount Bethel Food Pantry in the Slate Belt. LVWT will also donate to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Lehigh Valley and Northeast PA $1 for each pound of food that was donated during the weekend event, up to $1,000.
LVWT member wineries include: Black River Farms, Bethlehem; Blue Mountain Vineyards, New Tripoli; Franklin Hill Vineyards, Bangor; Tolino Vineyards, Bangor; and Vynecrest, Breinigsville. https://lehighvalleywinetrail.com/events/giving-before-thanks/
