Bethlehem, PA (August 15, 2023) – Valley Youth House is pleased to welcome Courtney Wagaman as the agency’s new Vice President of Lehigh Valley Independent Living, Permanency and Emergency Services.
Courtney began her career at KidsPeace National Centers before moving to The IMPACT Project, a community-based provider of foster care and diversion services. Initially, Courtney was a clinician providing clinical therapy to juveniles placed in foster care through the courts. After serving in various supervisory capacities for the agency, Courtney was promoted to Executive Director/COO in 2015 where she remained until 2022. During her tenure, she focused on quality programming and ongoing improvements to better meet the needs of youth, families, and the community. In addition to her work leading The IMPACT Project, Courtney was an integral part of various statewide and county initiatives.
Most recently, Courtney held the position of Director of Quality Assurance for the Juvenile Court Judges’ Commission. In her role, she led continuous quality improvement efforts for probation departments across the state through trend evaluation, policy examination and development of standards. She also worked to provide guidance on behalf of the Commission regarding legislation and program enhancements.
In her new role at Valley Youth House, Courtney is excited to bring her various experiences in leadership, program development and continuous quality improvement to further support the mission. She is grateful for the opportunity to work with such dedicated team members to better meet the needs of young people throughout the Lehigh Valley.
Courtney holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and Psychology from Washington & Jefferson College, as well as a Master of Science in Psychology from Villanova University. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her loved ones, particularly attending her children’s various events; all vacations, especially those involving sunshine; and the opportunity for a good run, yoga, or a great book.
