Phillipsburg, NJ – ‘The color pink’ has scored more than 8 million views on TikTok and now that the official BARBIE movie trailer has been released, all-things pink has officially sent the internet into a tailspin.
Phillipsburg’s Lit Girl Candle Company is teaming up with Pink Girls Run the World (PGRW) to give Lehigh Valley locals a glimpse of the “Barbiecore” trend on Saturday, August 5th. The immersive candle making workshop at Phillipsburg’s real-life Barbie world will feature all things pink as guests enjoy an evening of Barbie-themed nostalgia with lots of photo-worthy moments, pink treats, and Barbie trivia.
“Guests will learn the art of blending wax and fragrance oil to create custom candles during the ultimate pink themed experience,” shares Lit Girl Company Founder, Kiarra Nash. “As a local woman owned business, I am passionate about offering diverse and inclusive experiences that foster authentic connections within the community.”
But the Barbiecore trend isn’t just about wearing pink. It means channeling a confident attitude and exuding happiness into the world. Nash’s confident outlook led her to follow her passion after learning how to start a business from You Tube University.
“For over 6 decades, Barbie has inspired, encouraged and empowered generations of young girls who have grown up to be women empowering other women,” says PGRW Founder, Tashieka Brewer. “This is what made me love Barbie years ago.” Brewer started The PGRW digital platform and bespoke experience company 6 years ago as part of a movement to encourage women to choose experiences over things.
All are invited to this very pink candle making workshop and Barbie inspired event will take place at Lit Girl Candle Company (396 S Main St Suite 1, Phillipsburg, NJ 08865) on Saturday August 5th from 2-5pm.
