EASTON, Pa. (July 17, 2023) – Greater Easton Development Partnership (GEDP) and Crayola Experience are collaborating to bring the energy and excitement of the world’s greatest soccer tournament to downtown Easton.
To celebrate and support the U.S. Women’s National Team in their bid for an historic three-peat, the partners are throwing an outdoor FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ watch party at 9 p.m. on July 21 with colorful pre-game activities starting at 6 p.m.
“There’s nothing quite like the excitement of watching your country compete in the world’s greatest soccer tournament and being outside and cheering with the broader community creates even more energy for an international sporting event like this,” said Jared Mast, executive director of GEDP. “Add in one of our nation’s most beloved brands, Crayola, and we’re guaranteed to have a top-notch event in Easton.”
The free, family-friendly event will be held rain or shine in the square. From 6-9 p.m. families can enjoy music; food from local vendors; games; and soccer-themed crafts, activities, and photo ops. Then stay to view the U.S. vs Vietnam match on a large outdoor video screen starting at 9 p.m. (Event details below and at Crayola Experience | Easton Watch Party.)
“Crayola has been a part of Easton for 120 years and it is important for us to inspire kids and families in our local community. We hope to see Easton’s Center Square packed with families and friends enjoying Crayola Experience activities, local food, and cheering on the U.S. Women’s National Team,” said Rich Wuerthele, Crayola President & CEO.
The Easton event is part of a national initiative, the Art of Soccer, launched through a collaboration between Crayola, FOX Sports, and U.S. Soccer to celebrate soccer—a game of self-expression and creative possibilities.
Leading up to the U.S. women’s team opening pitch and throughout the world tournament, kids can unleash their imaginations and let their colorful ideas shine to cheer on the home team with the Art of Soccer activities and events at Crayola.com/Soccer.
Additionally, last year four passionate artists were commissioned to design custom soccer balls inspired by the key values of U.S. Soccer—integrity, commitment, teamwork, and respect. The “Teamwork” ball was selected to be reproduced and is being sold exclusively on Amazon with a portion of the proceeds going to U.S. Soccer’s efforts to grow the game at all levels.

Food and music
- Skeggy’s will be serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages from 6 p.m. to midnight and providing games: oversized Jenga, beanbag toss, corn hole, quoits, and more. (Dunkin’ Donuts Quad/Northwest Quad)
- Frozenlandia will be serving frozen yogurt from 6-11 p.m.
- Dave’s Hot Dogs will be serving until 6 p.m. to midnight.
- DJ Cap Cee will be spinning tunes from 6-8 p.m.

- A limited number of chairs will be available. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs for seating on the plaza.
- Parking will be available for 50 cents per hour after 5 p.m. in the Third Street Garage behind City Hall or the new Fourth Street Garage behind the Easton Public Market.
- Attendees are encouraged to arrive to the city early to secure parking and visit one of the dozens of downtown restaurants before the festivities begin in Centre Square.
