The Hellertown-Lower Saucon Chamber of Commerce, of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, is thrilled to host Honors & Hors D’oeuvres Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, May 24th. This event is dedicated to celebrating local community members and businesses for their outstanding achievements in helping and supporting the Hellertown-Lower Saucon Area over the past year.
The event will include opportunities to network, enjoy food provided by Brooklyn’s Catering and Braveheart Highland Pub, purchase drinks from cash bars provided by Black River Farms, Wardog Spirits, and Lost Tavern Brewing, and celebrate the accomplishments of the awardees.
“Held bi-annually, Honors & Hors D’oeuvres is a local favorite, allowing us to highlight the community and business leaders who make the Hellertown-Lower Saucon Area an incredible place,” said Jessica O’Donnell-Gower, EVP of Affiliated Chambers for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce. “Our Awardees are incredibly involved in our local Chamber and local community, dedicated to making this community strong.”
Raffle tickets will be available for purchase during the event to win great prizes and local gift cards. The raffle proceeds will benefit the Hellertown-Lower Saucon Chamber’s Scholarship Fund, which supports our future business and community leaders of the Saucon Valley School District. Five awards will be granted including Community Partner Award, Champion Non-Profit Award, Small Business Leadership Award, Business to Watch Award, and Positive Impact Award.

The following awards will be presented:
Community Partner Award: This award goes to the person or business who lives the word “Community” with consistency, professionalism, and integrity. This person or business can be counted on to promote the sense of community in our area, modeling ways to make a positive impact without regard for their own needs. Winner: Bobbi Gianguzzi, owner of Brooklyn’s Catering and co-owner of Springtown Inn
Champion Non-Profit Award: The Champion Non-Profit Award is awarded to the non-profit organization in our community that always finds a way to win. They consistently set and achieve goals for themselves that cause them to stretch and grow, causing those around them to grow with them. They know that the only way to fail is to quit, and the Champion Non-Profit NEVER QUITS! They move forward despite the adversity that presents itself whenever doing something that truly matters. They are champions, and when they win, we all win! Winner: Saucon Valley Farmers Market
Small Business Leadership Award: This honor is granted to a business that has demonstrated integrity in everyday management and in reaction to challenging circumstances: a business known for its character and ethics as much as for its duration of operation. They will be honored for displaying excellence that permeates the community infrastructure. Winner: Braveheart Highland Pub
Business to Watch Award – This recognition honors a business that began no more than two years ago. Its business approach ensures that it’s well on its way!
Winner: Unrivaled Nutrition + Training
Positive Impact Award – This recognition honors an organization/business that positively contributes to the Hellertown-Lower Saucon area, working with the business community and community members to bring them together for the needs of the community in ways to manage unity and growth.
