NCC Offers Free Precision Machining Program & Info Sessions

BETHLEHEM, PA – Northampton Community College (NCC) will offer FREE one-hour information sessions to provide an overview of their 9-week hands-on precision machining training program. This program will prepare learners for well-paying entry level jobs in precision machining and manufacturing, the largest business sector in the Lehigh Valley.

At the information session, hear details about the machining skills you will learn, the credentials you can earn, and the skills designed to prepare you for success in the high-demand field of precision machining.  Qualifications for acceptance into the program will be outlined for all attendees. The program will run from Friday, June 9 through Friday, August 11.

The non-credit, grant-funded precision machining training program is free to qualified candidates and prepares students for a career in precision machining while also earning National Institute of Metalworking Skills (NIMS) industry-recognized credentials, valuable to manufacturing employers.

NCC staff will be available to answer all of your questions at the information sessions. Attendance at one of these sessions is required to be eligible for the program. Information sessions will be held at the Fowler Family Southside Center, 511 E. Third St., Bethlehem, PA 18015, on the following dates:

Wednesday, May 3 at 9:30 a.m.

Tuesday, May 9 at 1:00 p.m.

Wednesday, May 17, at 11:00 a.m.
