Stay up-to-date on workplace health and safety issues including workplace violence prevention

BETHLEHEM, PA – Northampton Community College (NCC) is hosting the Lehigh Valley Safety Committee’s (LVSC) annual Health & Safety Expo on May 18, 8 a.m. – 3:15 p.m., at NCC’s Bethlehem Campus College Center located at 3835 Green Pond Road. The LVSC is an OSHA Ambassador and safety and health collaboration between private employers, non-profit organizations, healthcare, academia and government.

Through this FREE expo, the LVSC partnered with fellow OSHA Ambassadors to help participants gain insight into timely health and safety topics. The event will commence with a keynote from the assistant regional administrator of OSHA, Nicholas DeJesse, followed by a presentation on Workplace Violence Prevention led by facilitators from the Northeast Forensic Training Center. Other topics covered are Infection Control for Industry, Understanding OSHA’s General Industry’s Top 10 Standards, and Job Hazard Analysis.
