All Holiday Hope Chests donated go to our local nonprofit partners who support youth in the community through their programs and services. This program, coordinated by the Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley, is a great project for large/small groups, clubs, classes, families, and individuals. Assist with literacy activities in a kindergarten or first grade classroom in the Allentown School District one hour per week or more. Clearances and attendance at an orientation session required. Welcome visitors to the Kemerer Museum and provide information about museum tour opportunities while keeping a watchful eye over the exhibits. Assemble Luminaria kits consisting of candles, sand, and paper bags for New Bethany Ministries at Center Valley Parkway in Center Valley 4-6 p.m. Monday through Thursday beginning October 18 until November 21.
