Fans were spotted as early as 5pm as they caught a bite to eat in downtown Easton before the Ringo Starr and his Allstar Band show Friday night at The State Theatre. About an hour later a large line formed extending around the block. To say that the crowd was overly excited for this sold-out concert was an understatement.  This performance was originally booked prior to the onset of Covid-19, as everyone in line had been holding onto  their tickets for two years. The rescheduled date was slated for June, but on the day of the show, two band members tested positive for Covid-19, and the concert was postponed, and rescheduled once again.

Ringo Starr and his Allstar Band took to the stage a little after 7:30pm, fans rose with excitement.  Starr was happy to return to Easton, for his fourth visit.  For this tour, the All Star Band consists of: Warren Ham, Edgar Winter, Steve Lukather, Hamish Stuart, Colon Hay, and Gregg Bissonette.

Starr, who for years, preaches peace and love, flashed peace signs often during his songs. A good reminder of two things that we can never have enough, especially during trying times. 

As Starr ran up to center stage, and covered the stage well, it just doesn’t seem possible that he’s 82 years old. He had great energy, there was nothing that was going to slow him down. For the audience, it was a concert that finally came true, Ringo Starr, a musical legend, and his All Star Band gave us exactly what we needed, great music, and lots of peace and love.
