Kids from Big Brothers Big Sisters, Valley Youth House and The First Tee to Attend
Bethlehem, PA; June 1, 2022 – Service Electric Cable TV & Communications, as a proud supporter of the 42nd U.S. Senior Open, is working together with St. Luke’s University Health Network to give 30 lucky students an opportunity to attend the Senior Open and learn about golf. The two companies have combined efforts to provide admission to the event on Tuesday for youngsters in the programs at Valley Youth House, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lehigh Valley and The First Tee Lehigh Valley.
They will have a unique experience practicing their putting on a 9,000 square-foot, professional-grade green. In addition, each of these special guests will receive a mini-lesson on a high-tech golf simulator, courtesy of X-Golf Lehigh Valley. Golf pro and LPGA member Christina McAuliffe, general manager at X-Golf, will be there to help these young people work on their long game and boost their self-confidence.
St. Luke’s is also providing these kids with exclusive access to the 19th Hole activity area and the St. Luke’s Health & Wellness Pavilion, which will feature a personal meet-and-greet with Mandy Marquardt, an Olympic Hopeful for Track Sprint Cycling.

The 42nd U.S. Senior Open runs from Tuesday, June 21 through Sunday, June 26 at Saucon Valley Country Club. A special ‘volunteer appreciation day’ will take place on Monday, June 20 where volunteers and members of Saucon Valley Country Club can get a ‘sneak peek’ at the championship and become familiar with the course layout and requirements.
