In light of the tragic loss of the Kaufman family sisters (Brianna Baer, age 15, and Abigail Kaufman, age 10) in a house fire on April 1, 2022, the community is breaking bread to raise money for a memorial in their honor.
Join the Hellertown-Lower Saucon Chamber of Commerce, proud partner of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, for “Funds for the Family,” a fundraiser for the Kaufman family on May 3, 9, and 10th, 2022. Proceeds from the event will benefit a memorial in Morris J. Dimmick Park.
“The Chamber is not just a ‘Chamber of Commerce,’ but a ‘Chamber of Communities,’” said Jessica O’Donnell, Executive Vice President of Affiliated Chambers for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce and liaison to the Hellertown-Lower Saucon Chamber. “When the news broke of this terrible tragedy, our board immediately sprung to action in planning these events. Our hope is that we can bring the community together in their memory, and leave something behind to cherish Abigail and Brianna for years to come.”
Each dinner costs $15 per person and is being catered by local businesses. On May 3rd and 10th, attendees can enjoy a spaghetti and meatball dinner catered by Brooklyn’s Catering at the Carriage House (326 Main Street, Hellertown). In addition, on May 9th, a BBQ Dinner catered by Nick’s BBQ will also be hosted at the So Wy Co Fire Company (1 Kenny Headman Lane, Bethlehem). Space is limited at both venues, so pre-purchasing tickets is strongly recommended.
