BETHLEHEM, PA – April 22, 2022 – Bethlehem-based home furnishings retailer, Domaci welcomes the community to their annual Mother’s Day Celebration event on Sunday, May 8 at 521-525 Main Street, which will allow shoppers to preview the exciting updates in the newly expanded home and market space, including a stage with live music and a bar area.
Since recently expanding the Domaci Home and Market shops in March of this year via their Pop-Up Shop, construction of the redesigned space is currently underway, allowing for a larger selection of in-store furnishings, designs, last chance floor models and specialty items. During Mother’s Day weekend, May 7-8, guests can preview and enjoy some of these exciting in-progress changes before the Grand Re-Opening, slated for spring/summer of 2022. Guests will be treated to live musical performances from local favorite Ginger and friends from Ginger and The Schnappes on the new entertainment space, while shopping and sipping specialty drinks from the newly added bar where you can try tasty Rose Honey & Lemon cocktails and slushies made from the Domaci Market drink mix.
With the addition of these new features, Domaci, in collaboration with property owners John Brew and Mary Ellen Williams, hopes to create an ongoing gathering space and immersive experience for shoppers and guests who stay in the Domaci Suite at the Lofts on Main, a collection of luxury Airbnbs situated just above the home and market stores.
Store owners Derrick and Warren Clark have always strived to make Domaci more than just a place to shop, but a place where friends and family can come together and feel at home in their space.
“We’ve partnered with our friends at Dr. & Sir Property Management to create a space in the heart of historic downtown Bethlehem, where locals and visitors alike can drop in and enjoy all that Domaci has to offer,” says Derrick Clark in reference to the reimagined space.
“Guests can listen to live music, sip an artisan cocktail at the bar, stay the night in one of the finely appointed rooms upstairs and shop a curated selection of home furnishings, decor, art and everyday essentials.”
Building owner, Jay Brew of Dr. & Sir says, “The concept that we, in cahoots with our dear friends at Domaci, brought to the most architectural, historical and beautiful building in the City of Bethlehem includes overnight accommodations that allow our guests to relax and sleep on furniture and enjoy design items offered downstairs at Domaci Home.”
“With excitement, we have created the “Hotel Lobby” concept, where you can enjoy a music destination while sipping a slushy and trying out furniture from Domaci as you take in the Noguchi/Akari paper lanterns, Moooi chandeliers and other surprises hanging from the 30-foot high ornate ceiling! The tradition of the hotel lobby is to offer the general public and guests a respite from the hectic city. All are welcome to air conditioning and clean restrooms while enjoying food, drink and shopping. We are offering our concept while adhering to the amenities everyone expects.”
In addition to complimentary snacks at the event, guests will also be treated to special promotions and giveaways in honor of Domaci’s 6th Anniversary of their brick and mortar store. The Mother’s Day Celebration event will run during regular business hours, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
