Helping make the Shepherd Hills experience more enjoyable is Thor Schaffer who joins the company as the newest Golf PRO overseeing the club’s course operations. He brings with him over two decades of professional experience and thrilling programs to look forward to. “Aside from the current leagues we’ve been running, I plan to help players master their techniques in putting, chipping, pitching and full swings with personalized sessions.” Schaffer shares. “On top of that, we’re organizing monthly golf clinics to accommodate aspiring players of all ages – including a junior program for ages 6 and up so children can join in on the fun too!”

The golf club also reveals major course improvements for a seamless playing experience. Upgrades include brand-new tee boxes, cart fleets, cart paths and an expanded irrigation system to maintain optimal course conditions throughout the season.

ABOUT THOR SCHAFFER

Thor Schaffer is a seasoned golf professional with over two decades of experience in golf operations. He started his career as a golf professional in 1996 and served at esteemed clubs such as Woodland Hills Country Club, Silver Creek Country Club, Woodbridge Golf Club and Iron Lakes Country Club as head golf professional. Prior to pursuing a successful career in golf, Schaffer went on a full basketball scholarship to Kentucky State University and then played professional basketball through the mid 1990s.
