Cornerstone Advisors Asset Management Awards $21,000 to Three Local Nonprofits

BETHLEHEM, Pa.—Feb. 25, 2022— Cornerstone Advisors Asset Management, LLC,  one of the nation’s largest independently owned financial consulting firms specializing in the management of institutional assets, qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, private wealth, and philanthropic services, announced its inaugural Cornerstone Cares program by awarding $21,000 to local organizations in the Lehigh Valley.

“At Cornerstone, we strive to support our community to provide for a better and brighter future. Many of our clients have a philanthropic focus, and we have seen the impact that support like this can have on the lives of others,” said Cornerstone CEO, Tom Scalici. “We want to do the same in our community by supporting the philanthropic missions of local organizations that value the health, education and enrichment of our community.”

In 2021, Cornerstone team members identified three core issues and opportunities in the region in which to invest: education, basic human needs, and community enrichment. With this focus, three organizations were selected for the inaugural Cornerstone Cares grants, each receiving $7,000.

  • VIA of the Lehigh Valley is a nonprofit organization with a mission to support individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities reach their full potential through a rewarding career, enriching community life and meaningful relationships.
  • Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor provides opportunities for heritage education and outdoor recreation along the 165-mile D&L Trail from Wilkes-Barre to Bristol, Pennsylvania, engaging the surrounding businesses and communities along the way.
  • Community Action Lehigh Valley works to assist the communities of Lehigh Valley through providing access to food and housing, youth services and community and business development.
