BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The National Museum of Industrial History will dedicate its new Air Products Pavilion in Foundry Park – the latest community gathering space on the SteelStacks Campus – during a fun and festive Winter Welcome holiday event on Saturday, December 4th.
The National Museum of Industrial History received a $100,000 grant from the Air Products Foundation to educate future generations of entrepreneurs and inventors, highlight the importance of industrial safety in our past, present and future and establish a new outdoor venue in the Lehigh Valley. The 15’ x 30’ covered multi-use Air Products Pavilion will serve as a space for industrial demonstrations, youth educational programs, live performances and community gatherings.
“As the official Safety Sponsor of the National Museum of Industrial History, Air Products is excited to welcome the community to enjoy the new pavilion and to take advantage of all that NMIH has to offer,” said Laurie Hackett, Director of Community Relations and Philanthropy for Air Products.
During Winter Welcome at NMIH, visitors will enjoy free museum admission from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with complimentary hot chocolate and cookies, family friendly S.T.E.A.M. activities (science, technology, engineering, art and math), museum tours and holiday music. At 10 a.m., a special dedication ceremony for the Air Products Pavilion and a surprise visit from Santa will take place.
“We are so grateful to Air Products for its ongoing support of the Museum and commitment to improving lives in our community. The Air Products Pavilion at Foundry Park will provide limitless possibilities for us to gather, educate and inspire,” said Kara Mohsinger, NMIH President & CEO.
