NEW EXHIBITION OPEN NOW
NCHGS is proud to announce the opening of our new exhibition Another American’s Autobiography: Selections from the Petrucci Family Foundation’s Collection of African American Art, a collaboration with the Petrucci Family Foundation featuring over 25 pieces from their collection. The selected works explore American patriotism and identity as it relates to the Black American experience. It addresses the challenges of Black patriotism and the circumstances that complicate the relationship between Black Americans and this country. It asks the guests: What does it mean to be patriotic? Who comes to mind when we think of an American Patriot? Can we redefine and re-imagine our symbols of patriotism or our expressions of allegiance?
Visit the exhibition now through July 10, 2022. Enjoy free admission to the Sigal Museum now through December 30, 2021 thanks to the generosity of the Petrucci Family Foundation.
