There couldn’t have been a nicer warm fall day for a football game, and at Goodman Stadium, the fans eagerly gathered for the Lehigh University game against Yale University.
There was strong support and lots of love from the Lehigh stands optimistically cheering for the win, but it wasn’t in the cards for the Lehigh Mountain Hawks, as the Yale Bulldogs took the victory, with a 34-0 final score.
Lehigh had some strong defensive moments, but Yale couldn’t be held back. Long passes seemed more of a risk for Lehigh, who were successful gaining more first downs with shorter passes. Ultimately the Mountain Hawks had few moments charging through the Bulldog territory, which prevented them from scoring.
We know the Mountain Hawks can turn this around, and we’ll all be back cheering them on for their next home game when they take on Holy Cross on Saturday, October 30th.
